Viking Axe - Type G ULF-AX-20
Whether it was used for felling trees, building ships, houses, and furniture, or wielded in battle, the axe was an indispensable and versatile tool for the Vikings. The shape and size of axe heads were determined by their intended use. There were also elaborately adorned axes that were more of a status symbol and were often buried with their owner. Today, Viking axes are popular collector's items and are often handled in films, TV series, and video games to convey the image of wild and intrepid Vikings.
In terms of shape, the Viking axe head offered here is classified as a Petersen Type G. The blade is hand-forged from high carbon steel, and the handle is made of sturdy ash wood.
Please note that this early medieval axe is not a battle-ready weapon. It is primarily designed as a collector's or decorative/display piece and is by no means suitable for combat reenactment. In addition to its quality as a collector's item, it is also perfectly suited as an accessory, for example, to complete your costume, and will make your transformation into a proud warrior perfect.
