Due to their impact-resistant polypropylene construction, the Blackthorn series canes are designed for strength and durability. Unlike real wooden canes, they will not tear, warp, swell, or splinter. They are original pieces modeled after real Blackthorn (Endrino in Spanish), but they have been so cleverly modified that they look like they came straight from nature.

Since its inception, Cold Steels® has been synonymous with Irish Blackthorn walking sticks, which have always been at the top of the popularity list. Their good looks and strength have made them a classic often copied, but never equaled!

Cold Steel® is now pleased to expand its range with a "little brother". This model is shorter, lighter, and has just been named Blackthorn Shillelagh. An ancient billet from Lynn C. Thompson's private collection served as the model for its design. Cold Steels® Blackthorn Shillelagh closely approximates the original in terms of appearance, feel, and balance, but it is made of impact-resistant polymer material and will therefore withstand the harshest weather conditions. With its high-gloss polished wooden pommel and its beautiful shaft with a bark-like wood structure and protruding "trimmed thorns", this beautiful cane will attract everyone's attention, whether you carry it under your arm at a reenactment event or simply display it at home.
