The O-69 foot-operated suction pump is used to aspirate secretions, blood, water, or vomit from the posterior oral cavity and upper airways. It is intended for locations where there is no power source or fixed suction equipment is unavailable.

The assembly incorporates a ring-reinforced bellows, valves at the top and bottom, a compression spring, a bottle with a rubber cap, and the hose with a connector for the suction catheter. It is supplied with a carrying bag.
