The Ontos (Greek: The Thing) is a pure field knife, solid and heavy, but still compact. A portion of the top blade has a serrated edge to still have a sharp blade when needed. In an emergency, when you have to leave your primary heavy equipment, you will be glad to carry the ONTOS thanks to its MOLLE compatible nylon side sheath. The emergency equipment is stored in a pouch, which is attached to the nylon wrap by a MOLLE system. Thus, the Ontos becomes a true survival tool. A fluorescent stick (12 hours of light) and a diamond sharpener are also included in the kit.
