The M48 survival command axe manufactured by United Cutlery is the ideal companion for survival and rescue situations. This axe has a low weight, making it manageable and precise. The head material is 2Cr13 steel, giving it a formidable cut.

The point on the back of the axe head is sharpened on both sides. Together, the point and the blade form a cutting-edge, effective tool and offer great potential applications as a camping instrument. The head is securely connected to the reinforced fiberglass nylon handle by three screws. Sections of the handle are wrapped with paracord.

A durable nylon belt sheath with a loop and button closure is included.
