The approximately 16 cm long blade can be precisely folded into the handle. It is made of 420J2 Japanese stainless steel and
has just the right amount of flexibility for easy filleting. The
softer nature of this steel allows the blade to bend without breaking and effortlessly glide through the fish to find the perfect fillet.
In addition, the steel used here has very high corrosion resistance, and this is probably
particularly important when working in a water-dominated environment.

The handle is made of sturdy fiberglass-reinforced nylon and is rubber-coated and its surface is provided with
Kershaw's exclusive K-Texture ™. This structure (a repeated pattern of the letter K, as can be seen in the Kershaw company logo)
provides the necessary grip and a secure hold at all times, even if your hands are slippery.

A stable back-lock ensures that the blade is securely locked during filleting and can be opened once the work is finished.
