Satre Stone Washed Fixed Knife Extrema Ratio 04.1000.0222-SW

The Satre is a lightweight and extremely durable knife with a fixed pocket-sized blade. Due to its characteristics, it can be used in a variety of activities and areas, including survival and bushcraft, or it can be part of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit.
It was developed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, a Master Advanced F.I.S.S.S. Instructor (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival).

Thanks to its Paracord 550 lanyard, it can also be
worn as a neck knife. This way, it's possible to secure it vertically with the handle facing downwards. The pre-formed Kydex sheath is equipped with eyelets to which both the lanyard and the accessory holder can be attached.
The Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: The Black and Stone Washed versions are made of Böhler N690 heat-treated steel with 58 HRC.
This material was chosen for its resistance to oxidation, the longevity of the cutting edge, and above all, for its reliability, which has proven its effectiveness over the years.
The Black S600 is made of Böhler S600 steel instead.
This steel is used for the production of tools for metalworking and stamp production.
Thanks to its chemical composition with molybdenum, tungsten, and a high proportion of vanadium, it has excellent properties in terms of hardness, wear resistance, and toughness.
The presence of cobalt promotes the growth of small and uniformly distributed carbides, which increase wear resistance.
The Satre S600 is heat and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC.
This also makes it very wear-resistant and gives the cutting edge long-lasting sharpness. The Böhler S600 has a chromium content of 4.5%, which makes it oxidizable.
For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK coating. Due to its extreme hardness and wear resistance, this steel is not easy to sharpen.
