Neck Knife, Tokyo Spike Cold Steel CST-53NHS

The Cold Steel® Spike series' neck diameter is thin, light, and extremely robust. These neck knives have sharp blades made of cryo-treated German 4116 stainless steel with a so-called zero grind and deeply grooved, textured handles that are ergonomic and ensure a comfortable and firm grip.

Integrated stop elements ensure that the index finger and thumb do not slide onto the blade and remain protected, while the deeply textured Griv-Ex™ surface offers excellent grip even with cold, wet, and slippery hands.

These neck knives are available with four different blade designs (Bowie, Drop Point, Tanto, and Tokyo). They offer all the toughness of a one-piece solid steel construction but are still light enough to be carried effortlessly all day long.

For better storage and security, each neck knife in the Spike collection comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath. The spikes are extremely lightweight (the knife and sheath together weigh approximately 85 g!) and can be comfortably worn around the neck all day. A black ball chain is included as a lanyard. Thanks to the sheath's design, which is compatible with the Tek-Lok™ carrying system, the knives can also be worn on the waist or belt.

4116 Stainless Steel for Knives
4116 steel is a fine-grained stainless steel for knives from Germany. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives. Its balanced carbon and chromium ratio ensures first-class rust protection and high strength. Very thin and extremely sharp cutting edges can be ground. An excellent choice for outdoor and hunting knives. Cold Steels® 4116 stainless steel is cryo-treated. This low-temperature treatment ensures significantly better strength, hardness, and resistance, and greater edge retention is achieved.
