If the scent is strong or bothersome, it is not recommended to wash the blanket. It is better to air it out outdoors for several days. If washing is necessary, it must be done with cold water, without chemical detergents or fabric softeners, and using a delicate cycle if the washing machine allows it. Drying should be done by laying it flat, in the shade, and away from direct heat sources or the sun.
