MINI RIG® Tactical Vest Minimalist Design

MINI RIG® Tactical Vest Minimalist Design

The Training Mini Rig is a tactical vest for civilian shooters, designed as a compact solution for carrying the necessary gear to the shooting range. Its layout is symmetrical, making it suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

The load-carrying system combines H-harness straps and a simple waist belt. The straps are wide, non-padded, and feature several loops on the front to attach small pouches or route a hydration tube or radio antenna. On the back, they include a 13.5 x 6 cm Velcro panel for patches. All straps are adjustable in length and, thanks to fastex buckles, can be completely detached to mount the chest rig onto a larger ballistic vest or plate carrier.

Against the body, it incorporates four open-top magazine pouches for AR15 or AK types, with retention provided by elastic cord. They can also be used to carry a radio or a pistol. The side pouches are fixed, while the two central ones use a removable Velcro insert.

Above both side pouches are dual stitched pockets, featuring a height-adjustable and removable flap, closed with Velcro and perimeter elastic band. Their size is suitable for standard-sized pistol magazines, multi-tools, or a tactical flashlight, among other items. Underneath these pockets, there are two paracord loops at the bottom of the vest to secure, for example, gloves or shooting earmuffs with a carabiner.

In the center, there is a universal pocket with a two-way zipper closure. On the front, it includes a smaller flat zippered pocket and a 12 x 8 cm Velcro panel. Inside, there is a simple organizer with several flat compartments, an elastic rubber strip, a paracord loop, and a zippered mesh pocket. This pocket holds small items such as pens, earplugs, shooting targets, or energy bars. On the bottom, it has three modular loops to attach a small pouch or weave an elastic cord to carry a tourniquet.

The bottom edge of the chest rig continues into a drop-down panel with a four-column PALS / MOLLE anchor row. A universal pouch is included attached to this webbing, useful for example for carrying basic medical equipment. The pouch has an 11.5 x 8 cm front Velcro panel, two-way zipper closure, and inside, a paracord loop and Velcro strips on both sides. It features a full PALS / MOLLE interface, so it can also be used on other platforms or on a belt.
